Cast, atmosphere, a popular story - everything speaks for another horror success for Blumhouse, but unfortunately they gave the latest installment of the "Insidious" series into the wrong hands. The result is a script plagued by weaknesses that not even Patrick Wilson's gallant directorial effort could conceal. Thus, "The Red Door" is a prime example of wasted potential and is unlikely to satisfy fans. However, it is enough for a little scary evening with friends.
