I have to give this an 8 because it was cute. American optimism is cute. I don’t know much about fútbol, but this is the second show I’ve watched where the characters navigate this environment. And because they’re two, I feel the need to compare. I felt, a lot of times, like Ted Lasso’s characters were almost cc of Netflix’s Club de Cuervos. You have the old fútbol player who is dealing with getting old. You have the inexperienced coach. The woman that’s killing it (because anything men do, we can do bleeding), but doesn’t fully fit in a traditionally male environment. You have the funny, clumsy, character that ends up being very talented. And of course, a love triangle. I don’t know, overall, not as funny as Club de Cuervos but full of cheesy, American, optimism.
