Okay so… I think they did a really good job in casting… the ladies REALLY DO look like siblings and aunties so that’s one thing. The acting for an Indian series honestly is reallllly good. No weird flying hair or weird poses… other than the singing felt like pre recorded and too perfect but I mean it sorta makes sense to why they’d do that.. the dancing is veryyyyyyy interesting. Now, in terms of plot.. I’m not really a person who watches Indian but this was really good and in fact finished it in a couple of days, it always ended with a catch and left you hanging for more. The story isn’t usual for me in that aspect and has so many plot twists and backstabbing and all that stuff, the only thing I just don’t approve of at all, was the religious aspect of it… like don’t bring along Islam like this??!! A place for tawaifs yet have Islamic visuals in their place and pray and all that, like how are they relating it like that.. like that’s just not acceptable in our religion. The only superb thing for me was the love story that was stretched from the first to the last episode and I loveeeed every single min of it.. them together was just something else.. I just really didn’t understand how the Alam was like always smiling even during hard times ? Like you okay girl ? Annnd like how sometimes her reactions wouldn’t show her true feelings when critical scenes happen but nonetheless they were perfect… and that ending just broke my whole heart!!! The ending is AN ENDING! It answers the questions but it hurts big time yet is reallllly goood… I’d watch it again for sure, maybe skip a few scenes or more but I’d watch it…. 8.5/10
