This first season is very well done. When it first became a thing on YouTube I was hesitant to really watch it. YouTube’s subscription service still to this day doesn’t peak my interest enough to buy it for their shows. But now I’m honestly quite curious, as Cobra Kai exceeded my expectations in nearly every way. Especially when it came to the story and writing. I just wasn’t sure what else there was to write but this was a really neat angle and perspective that gives you a better look into the other side of things while still following our old friends closely. Characters are also a huge highlight too. How’s they’re introduced and how some have some rather interesting arcs that involves some really interesting twists. Made good for a lot of tension between the characters. While it’s not perfect it is good and fun. And I want to go further in depth but then we’d be getting into spoilers and this show makes it easy to spoil things. 8/10 for a very well produced, written, and performed piece. If you liked Karate Kid at all this is your fucking show.
