Dude what a cool movie. Trunks and everything. Probably the best Superman movie we’ll get this decade. They skipped the bullshit and got to the point. Superman is for the kids. The political parallels in this film are genius and telling of the kind of change James Gunn wants for DC movies now. Which I’m 100% here for. He simply wants to make the world a better place. I liked a lot of the choices that were made as well. The arc with Clark’s parent’s original video message was very cool. It took almost any “plot” armor Superman would have away. Lois and Jimmy were also amazing. They pulled Lois right out of the comics, making Jimmy a ladies man was hilarious. Les was respectfully and cartoonishly evil, and the Justice Gang was pretty neat. Seeing a green lantern in a movie again felt really good. I’d recommend this movie for everyone. Closer to a 9 than a 7, but I’m giving it an 8 right now.
