Let’s get one thing straight, just because a movie is an improvement over the cut the made originally, does not make it good. Cool, now that thats out of the way. Where the fuck is all of the color? Why does Snyder have this weird infatuation with this desaturated and grey filter over every scene? Some of it is clearly to hide Darkseid and the finer details of Steppenwolf. I will give credit where it’s due though, Steppenwolf did look A LOT better. Flash looked the same though. And he was worse in this movie. He was running into everything, getting hit by everything, I want even watching the flash it felt like. All of that was just bad. Can we talk about that stupid vocal thing that happens when Wonder Woman does literally anything? It’s so overdone and annoying I could probably just have that audio bit as my review and leave it at that. Because fuck that was annoying as hell. Ben Affleck did better as Batman in this movie. He’s still a bad Batman. And Superman is still evil but not really and who cares he’s a shitty character. Cyborg had the coolest parts in the whole movie. Man actually had an arc and direction, motivation. While everyone else around him kinda just existed just cause. Darkseid out here looking for the anti life equation but when isn’t he at this stage of the universal DC arc? I can’t tell you how disappointed I am with the delivery of this movie. You could literally skip to the last few parts of the movie and it’s just the last movie all over again. While the beginning parts are just what their individual movies were supposed to be, or that’s what their fucking intentions of origin movies are for. It all felt forced. Imagine watching Sucker Punch but a lot longer and none of the parts have to do with each other. They even nod to the idea of a multiverse but literally do nothing with it and the fact it’s in the movie at all is just stupid. But that universe would’ve made a better movie than this movie was. Jared’s Joker was also decent until he did his awful laugh. This movie was just pointless pandering and fan service. And it fails at that even. I can see why people like this more, sure. But if this was even the first cut we got to see we’d still agree it was bad. Fucking hated this movie. But whatever.
