A neat story about a guy who visits this forest in the ocean every day to visit this octopus. I love watching stuff about animals but something that always bugs me in the back of my head is they all usually talk to me the same way and it feels not very genuine. This movie feels a lot more like a journal. The approach was just watching and interpreting rather than just listening some random guy talk about octopuses. It’s all really just an epic story about the life span of an octopus and what goes on during it. We watch go through so much and it’s kinda magical. I began to think I wasn’t that scared of the ocean anymore until the guy went into the ocean at night and I went right back to being terrified. Watching the octopus do things like hunt and play with fish is something you can really only see in this movie though. Or at least in this form. I was also really starting to care about the octopus and the person watching her, and almost cried when it died. Which shouldn’t be a spoiler because it’s common fact octopuses don’t live that long. I highly recommend this movie. Especially if you don’t have anything else to watch and haven’t seen it yet which was how I ended up watching this.
