The film was certainly more gripping than the book, albeit not by much. It is interesting to see the Hunger Games in a different perspective, i.e. this film isn’t about the games as such more so Katniss as the Mockingjay and the uprisings in the districts. However, it’s almost like the film is missing something. It’s a shame overall as I’ve got a lot of love for these books & this story, but the third instalment both shown in book and film so far are letting it down in my opinion. I like the cliff hanger with Peeta and am interested to watch the adaptation of the second part of this book. It’s also lovely to see Effie back doing what she does best!
