Eerily stodgy throwback to the stalker cinema of the 1990s. Deon Taylor works his way through dusty genre platitudes over the entire running time, even though he likes to present himself as immensely contemporary with his (pseudo-)modern protagonist couple. The fact that "The Intruder" briefly has a certain entertainment value is due to the unleashed performance of Dennis Quaid, who plays the psychopath with surprising enthusiasm.
