Sad movie, sadder knowing it's true. It's unimaginable to think of what this SOB did. Reminded me of ColinFurze on YouTube, a brit that dug out under his back yard to build a mancave and later dug out tunnels connecting everything. The movie itself is slow and takes criticism for not showing the family's search and desperation. I thought it did a good job of showing the monotony of her life. It was anticlimactic in that you know how long she was held captive. Each time you're thinking just stab him, but you know she won't.

One of the reasons I hate the whole modern macho woman nonsense that is the Mary Sue character, beating up men twice their size. Some women actually believe that nonsense, as I've seen in many videos they quickly learn real life isn't like TV. The world is evil, you're not equal the female ego can't handle truth. Situational awareness is key.
