The MCU has done a great job of presenting subtle Spider-Man stories that are true to character without overblowing them. This film isn’t an exception, which makes it endearing to life-long Spider-Man fans and dramatic for those new to the character. Tom Holland is magnificent and Gyllenhaal is just a really fun (yet maniacal) villain. More exciting than Homecoming, it fits into the serialized structure of the MCU well.
