Overtly satirical, the message is king in this film. While the performances are honest, most characters are left as cardboard ideas rather than gripping people - a symptom of the genre. It is imaginative, and certainly provocative, but it has the distinct possibility of getting caught under the tide of art and film pushing the same idea because of its reluctance to delve too deep into its subject of satire. I, personally, feel that it is more flash and spectacle than anything else. Still mind-bending to watch, however.
