Simple and straightforward while simultaneously goofy and whimsical, I’m not afraid to say that I really enjoyed this movie because of where I’m at in life during my watch. Larson’s in your face directorial decisions actually help the movie stave of mediocrity and give it personality when they could easily appear ham-fisted. It’s fun and the ending is surprisingly mature, though it will leave people searching for a definitive answer on growing up scratching their head.
