I struggle with how to rate this movie, because it is cheesy and hokey, but it’s supposed to be that way to emulate the war films of the era presented. It seems to be the first Marvel movie to try and establish a specific kind of identity, and largely succeeds. Chris Evans was born for this role. The Red Skull should have been a better villain.
