Columbus is a quiet, introspective film about two strangers—Jin, a Korean-American man visiting town because his father is in a coma, and Casey, a young woman who lives there, taking care of her recovering mother. They meet in Columbus, Indiana—a small town known for its modernist architecture—and form an unlikely connection.
As they wander the city and talk, they open up about their personal struggles: Jin is distant from his father, and Casey is holding herself back from pursuing her dreams out of guilt and obligation. Their conversations, framed by the beautiful architecture around them, become moments of reflection, healing, and subtle emotional growth.
There’s no dramatic arc—just a tender exploration of identity, family, and the choices that shape our lives. Columbus is about being stuck, meeting someone at the right moment, and slowly waking up to change.
