You have to keep in mind that each country has different directing styles, ways to show romance and some things are more appropriate than others, mostly based on the culture. In this case, the choice of certain scenes were overly dramatic, with eco effects in the voices or music, the camera work was an extension of the exaggerated drama and the music as well. That said the story was nice and quite unexpected towards the end. I felt a resemblence with ‘Three Steps Above Heaven’ and ‘A Walk to Remember’ - I was expecting more a dark Romeo and Juliet without the tragic ending. The bad boy falls in love with the good rich girl and the turmoil of their differences makes the love story intriguing and exciting, but it was not exactly that. There were some elements but then it took a turn that I did not see coming. Acting was also believable and charismatic, script not bad ( slightly cheesy and for a younger audience, for my taste) and the camera angles, picture and music, pleasant. Overall, a turmoil of emotions, enjoyable romance drama movie and the main character was a good one to watch.
