Premise: I have not read the book so I heard of it merely because of the hype on social media. I was expecting something, don’t know what exactly, but got way less than expected. It felt like a copy of ‘50 Shades of Grey’, but a bad copy of it. Not that ‘50 Shades’ was a masterpiece ( the movies because the books were well written) but this one was not even average. The elevator scene - guess what? We have seen it. The interaction between the two characters was so sudden and I didn’t feel the chemistry. This on-off relationship was not even exciting because it felt childish. Eric as a character was supposed to be tormented and with unique sexual tastes but I got the image of a teenager on a sexual sperimentation phase, so it does not make him feel attractive. Judith was trying to be a innocent but yet strong willed woman and ended up looking like a girl with her first love that would fall back into his arms by just hearing ‘sorry’ - well after the third time it really seems idiotic. These kinds of movie, which are solemny based upon sexual fantasies, should have longing, flirting, suspense, tension and romance. Here, it was just purely a base story that didn’t even capture much interest and the sexual scenes which were average at best. Let’s not talk about script - it felt like a mediocre Wattpad novel written by a 15 year old that reads too many adult novels. I wasn’t expecting an Oscar winning movie, but at least something worth watching, but it felt flat. Spanish productions, recently, have been quite entertaining and well directed - this one was way way off. I don’t know if the book is better, probably is, so would recommend you read it rather than watch it.
