The sensualism was off the roof but the rest felt extremely flat. Obviously watching a 1989 movie in 2025 hits different, considering that they were overly sexualised and the sex scenes didn’t leave any imagination. You can see the difference in how women are strumentalised as sexual desires compared to now where there is more equality in the way they are shown in movies. The main characters were gorgeous and chemistry was crazy, which them being a couple in real life at the time, explains it all. Script was overly cheesy and with lack of content but mainly gor shocking purposes. As I said the sexual feel was nice but everything else nonesense, no real story development, every single character was overly sexual and even inapropriate at times, script not so good, direction distracting but the feel of the Brazilian culture, colours and music was refreshing. There is a lot of nudity and erotic images that may not appeal to many. Overall, a sexy movie but that is all to it unfortunately.
