I was expecting something slightly differenf. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either. I will start by saying, I am a dark romance kind of girl, so I probably would have fallen for Nunzio, and would have prefered a bad boy rather than the safe option, so already the movie wasn’t for me. If Mary was going to fall in love with someone else and Nunzio was supposed to be the bad man, then at least you need someone on the same level of charisma, strong personality and that would intrigue the audience, but Giulio was a nice actor but didn’t make root for the couple at all. I lost interest half way through. The plot was missing something, it was slow, basic and predictable. I was going to give a worst rating but the acting, soundtrack and direction was decent so deserved a bit more points. I am actually surprised it scored this high considering there wasn’t much happening and the scenes were all mostly filmed in the same spaces. One thing I will say, is that Simone Susinna’s (Nunzio) performance was better than I thought, his character came through and the facial expressions were compelling. Overall, if you like intense movies, with slow plots and some good boy romance, than it is for you. If you are a dark romance girl/boy like me you probably will think like me. It was a good directed movie but it lacked something.
