A very inspiring story especially since it is based on true events. Gyllenhal did an amazing job and the supporting cast was also very good. The storyline was strong to watch considering it depicted a tragedy that is the Boston Marathon Bombings. It was not centered on the events itself but on the life of a man impacted by the tragedy, it was a heartwarming story even though in my honest opinion it lacked something. I cannot pin-point what specifically but it felt like it dragged on and there wasn’t anything much happening a part from the continuous back and forth between the main characters. The underline message of the movie is heartfelt but then all-in-all slightly flat. Overall, I did enjoy it and because of the story and the good acting, it deserves a 6 but if you ask me if I will remember the movie or watch it again…. Mmm probably not. Worth watching just because it shows a slight, very slight, side of what tragedies can do to people.
