I was expecting something utterly stupid and goofy, but in reality it left me perplexed and entertained. Charcaters were nice, even Monster became nearly hot by the end of the movie, how? I have no idea, maybe good character development. The storyline has some holes but still flows quite nicely. Laura is portrayed very nicely, the turmoil of emotions she goes through are well executed ahd you can see how talented the actress is. Even if Monster is a complete fantasy character the whole interactions between the characters feel possible in real life, there is drama but it is carefully dosed. Direction was so nice, colour palette compelling and the theatre scenes at the end so beautiful. It has, nonetheless, left me with so many questions. One in particular, did Monster exist or was it all her immagination? I guess we will never know. Overall, a very unexpectedly nice movie, I enjoyed it and left me wanting more. Recommend. I will give it a 6,5⭐️ a not more simoly because I felt some elemnts were missing, the backstory of how Laura’s and Monster’s relationship started when they were kids, how did the whole thing developed after, was Monster real, and the ending was it an act or all real? So many questions, that I guess are part of why it is a nice movie but I would have liked more.
