It wasn’t bad at all. The beginning of the movie felt like a 90’s rom-com with the 2020’s colour palette and cinematography, and then the twist comes along and you are catapulted into a thriller/horror movie. The script was ok, music matched the aesthetics, acting good and picture nice to look at. Josh was a character that took a turn, from cute to absolutely annoying and selfish. I had a feeling that the whole movie was a bit of a metaphor for toxic relationships online that we hear about more and more about today. The fact that the AI was completely devoted to its owner even though the signs were there, being oblivious of how it was controlling her, of how it was influencing her actions and how at the end once she realised the truth she was still conflicted on what to do. This is my view on it. Overall, nice watch and refreshing to see that thriller/horror movies can still be executed successfully without having to add too many gory scenes, suspence tictics and a weak plot with predictable twists. I would recommend watching it if you like this genre because it will be one you might like, dont expect the typical horror antics but it will keep you engaged.
