Honestly, I am tired of these overhyped movies. I don’t if to trust online reviews anymore, it seems that people are not being entirely honest just for likes 🤦🏼‍♀️ Well, I am not one of those. The movie started off nicely and I liked how they decided to narrate the story by using a girls voice, it made it feel eery but also strangely like a fairytale, which probably was the intent considering the main focus was the kids dissapearance. The directing style was nicely executed, the camera angles and choice in settings brought it together. But, there are many flaws, in my point of view. Firsly, the confusing plot that left us wondering what was all of this for or about. Secondly, we didn’t get a good introduction or explanation of Glady’s which eneded up being quite an inportant character but barely present. Lastly, the ending was comedic to a point and we didn’t get closure or a complete understanding of what was the whole ordeal about. You can kind of make a deduction but it is just that. I will say that the different POV’s was a nice touch, but could have been used better. Acting was very good too. Ultimately, it was more of a thriller with some fantastical plot in which some splatter/gore was added here and there, some jump scares to make it resemble a horror movie. It was not that. I did get intrigued at the beginning but then lost interest. Would recommend but do not put your hopes up because you will be let down, just like it happened to me.
