I was pleasently suprised considering that I DNF’d the book after 1 chapter. I am so glad I didn’t read the book because it made the whole story so unexpected. I didn’t mind the script, acting was pretty good, soundtrack well matched and picture pleasing to the eye. From the summary plot I was expecting a good thriller of who dunnit or some kind of introcate family secret, but was hit with a curveball. The last episode broke me, honestly. I was not expecting that plot twist at all which made it all the better. If an epidode or movie can make me cry that means the job was done! The sentimentality in that episode was well executed, even if it felt too quick because I would’ve liked to see more of what was happening in ‘Summer 17’ before the twist was revealed, because some scenes left me wondering. The ending felt quite open-ended but it seems to be oficially concluded, such a shame even if there would be no meaning into continuing it. Overall, if you have not read the book, like me, I would recommend to watch it if you like sentimental and unexpected thrillers. Not having any knowledge of how the story goes or ends, I believe is much more impacting and thrilling. In conclusion, definetly a good one from Prime Video, well made overall and enjoyed it.
