Refreshing action movie! This was a different watch compared to most in the last few years. Great cast, good chemistry, exciting action and interesting plot. I was skeptycal at first about watching it, but then given the good reviews and the plot summary I decided to watch, and I do not regret it one bit! I liked both actors before this picture, but now I love them. They really did a good job at portraying their characters, you could get an idea of the characters personalities and background. The storyline was interesting and intriguing at the same time, even if the romance is minimum it still excites you through their interactions. Visual effects nice, the design of the creatures in the Gore were interesting, cool and well-designed. The action scenes were active, entertaining and amoed up the adrenaline. You would wonder what would happen next, even though slightly predictable towards the ending it still kept you at the edge of the seat. Direction clever and modern, some of the camera work and slo-mo really enhanced the feelings of that specific scene, even just the romantic scene had a few camera tricks that made it elegant and yet sensual. The colour scheme was intelligent, by giving the outside a bright nature tone and once in the Gorge dark and bloody which felt a hint for ‘hell’. Overall, I really enjoyed this movie, it kept me glued to the screen and wanted to watch more. A very good production, especially considering that not many good movies have been released lately, at least not of this genre. Sci-fi Action Romance with good CGI and good acting. Give it a go!
