A thrilling summer movie full of laughter & action🔥🔥 4th installment of this 30 year franchise with Mike Lowry & Marcus Burnett was awesome with characters returning from the previous films like Marcus’s family, Ammo crew (only 3 members including Vanessa 😍) Captain Howard from the after life & videos only and Fletcher the hacker from the first 2 movies. We also got to see Michael Bay as a cameo which was very cool as he directed the first 2 movies! There were some new characters and cameos like DJ Khalid’s character returning from the third movie who was hilarious again in the gang battle, Tiffany Haddish as Tabatha the woman in the strip club that was funny with the interaction with Mike, and Joyner Lucas as one of the bounty gang leaders. Another new character that was cool and badass was on the villain side like the main villain named James McGrath. some that were on the good side and revealed to work for the villain which can be seen as an obvious plot.
This plot of the film where clearing the name of Captain Howard of not being a drug dealer with Mike & Marcus now being framed as fugitives is exciting and played the story well. The movie brings back Mike’s son from the third movie helping out and actually gives a redemption to his story. It’s always the story where once you unlock a villain as a good guy, he becomes weaker but this isn’t the case as much as he still kicked ass.
The comedic duo of Mike and Marcus never changed and this film brought it out more especially with Marcus story. From beginning to end he was pure comedic genius especially with what he went through in the beginning and always got us ROTFL 🤣. The real MVP of the film hands down definitely goes to Reggie, yes the scared 15 year old from bad boys 2, now all grown up and is a marine who is a badass fighter just fighting the hunters in the house which was incredible and deserved the moment in the end of the film 🤣🍗. Definitely well deserved!
Overall I enjoyed this film and glad I am a part of the bad boys universe. I will say the 2nd movie is still the best outta all 4 but this gets a close second or third with Bad boys for life. I loved the camera action moments that were new in the big screen and very well shot. Hopefully we will get perhaps 1 more film but I doubt that as there was no end credit and these guys are getting older which is sad but is life. Bad boys ride or die has its title credit for it and is one of the thrilling movies of summer 2024!! 🔥🔥🤣
