Mid at best as I’m watching this first movie of the monster verse where I see the constant complaint of humans having more screen time then the monsters like I wanted a lot more Godzilla fight scenes and origin of his powers more. Instead was a family movie with Aaron Johnson Taylor being the main character with the beautiful Elizabeth Olson as wife & nurse. It was very weird seeing them act as a couple when I’ve spent years seeing them as brother and sister in another universe but it was not as weird as the other characters throughout the film. Honestly the 2nd one was 4X better with more action and intense moments while this was just mid movie at best and is easily forgotten as it doesn’t connect to the future franchise movies especially with different characters that gets introduced later on. Overall Godzilla will forever be my monster and is always THE KING!! 🦎
