First time watching this movie and understanding the history of the fantastic 4 to prepare 4 July. Grew up watching Tobey maguire spiderman movies and have to say this fantastic 4 movie gave the same vibes as that but with a team of cool people with unique superpowers. It was an interesting take on how they got their powers, the abilities they can do and why Dr.Doom is a villain to them and have to say was not too disappointed by this story. Now that I’m thinking, this team almost act like the ninja turtle brothers with their emotions and personalities, weird coincidence but shows that this is a group that can overcome their differences and work together when the time is needed.
The fantastic 4 characters were interesting and unique in their own ways that brings the story along. Ben was literally a rock as they said defending the team but can be aggressive and angry which makes sense when you gotta look like that. Sue Storm a baddie and was like the mom/ sister of the group. I knew her powers were invisibility but her other abilities caught me by surprise with looks to be field generations and light manipulation, could be wrong but nice to know it’s more than invisible.
Mr.Fantastic aka Reed Richard’s was a chill man and started to grew a like and respect to him from when I thought stretching was a weak ability compared to the others to actually being a good asset when combining with the rest of the heroes. And lastly the great Johnny Storm played by we all know him Chris Evans!! Now some people grew up seeing him as the human torch and then later in the years becoming Captain America was a weird and getting use to switch. However it was the opposite for myself as I grew up seeing him as cap and then learning his role as the hot headed, swim suit model, jerk/comedic relief to the team man we all see and he did not disappoint. His fire powers are the best in screen but wished they explored just a lil bit more about him flying especially with the heat missle coming at the tower like maybe a quick pep talk from his sister sue but guess you can’t have that when there’s a missle coming for you 🤣☄️.
Overall movie was very well paced, really felt the 2005 nostalgic vibes, cgi could be better but was for sure different 20 years ago versus today, and overall can’t wait to learn more about them as we get closer to July with the first steps movie. Until then, they have a sequel which I plan to watch May 4 and hope it’ll also be FANTASTIC!
