Wow what a film. The plot twist at the end really had everyone in tears. This film is almost similar to Ambulance with the “bank robbery” aspect gone wrong and i quote bank robbery because it was not that at all but a complete misunderstanding and dramatic take on events. Taraji P Henson really nailed her performance as Janiyah. I won’t say too much about what happens but know her role as a single mother trynna be there and provide for her daughter was a message to the world and was delivered with passion and emotion. Tyler Perry did not disappoint and he’s up there with Ryan Coogler. I recommend watching Straw with family as it is an emotional family film and deserves the recognition after all the performances and drama the actors went through!! #Straw
