Sonic 3 is here and what an awesome movie it was!! I’ve always loved the Sonic movies with the first 2 as they are funny, enjoyable, entertaining and have great characters/moments. This film exceeds expectation and builds hype similar to how Spiderman no way home was 3 years ago except this time it’s a homage and tribute to the Sonic fans over the years and builds more and more.
Sonic 3 takes that up a level with the introduction of Shadow leading up to the third act with an incredible/intense battle of Sonic vs shadow across the globe with the threat of the extinction of earth. Shadow is truly my favorite character growing up and seeing him in the big screen with his powers being OP like teleporting & skating fast and the motorcycle scene, very Keanu Reeves of him which makes sense since he’s voicing shadow 🤣.
Seriously I was skeptical with Keanu voicing Shadow but it worked very well in the big screen as his aura and presence was very badass and made me love shadow more & more. The battle between Sonic and shadow was AWESOME as they both went super mode from the master emerald that we learned in Sonic 2. Super Sonic & Super Shadow was very intense in the third act where like shadow wanted revenge on the people of earth for what happened to Maria, Sonic wanted revenge for what shadow did to Tom and that drove him with anger and almost killed shadow but gave him mercy by remembering Tom’s message which was such a nice moment and truly shows the difference between them that can even change shadow to be on the good side. I just love that we get to have Sonic tails knuckles and shadow on the big screen where their design looks great and the voice actors/actresses nailed the character persona very well.
Other characters I loved throughout the films is the iconic Jim Carrey as not just Doctor Robotnik, but also as Professor Robotnik aka the grandpa to Robotnik which was incredibly funny every time especially when they broke the 4th wall in 1 moment. I also liked the human characters like Tom & Maddie when they helped with infiltrating gun as well as using holographic technology to be other characters like Rachel and Randall, that was a good idea to bring those actors back but not really giving them a big role like the second movie. The second one had too many human moments and I’m glad with this film they reduced that and gave the characters we all love more screen time. We also got one scene with the hilarious character throughout the Sonic movies & knuckles show, the greatest warrior blue hills has seen, as knuckles describe as the noblest warrior and guardian of the emerald: WADE WEBBLE🤣. Seriously his 2 minutes in this movie was perfect and the lead up that knuckles was describing to Sonic was just hilarious.
Now with the end credit where we are getting an additional character to help Sonic is Amazing!! I won’t say who it is but it makes me very excited for Sonic 4 in 2027!! I’m so so glad I got to watch this in the big screen with my Sonic family that I’ve created since 2020 and continues to grow every time. This was a great birthday gift to have and the movie even called the birthday during the film which made it meant to be for me 🤣 truly love Sonic n life and can’t wait for more Sonic adventures!! 💙💛❤️🖤🌀
