This show is intense and takes the zombie apocalypse in the marvel cinematic universe in another way!! It gives full ending of infinity war vibes almost like the Russo brothers directed these episodes as each episodes or called chapters leaves us in shock and disbelief. It picks up after the what if season 1 episode 5 with the zombie apocalypse and we learn more about them and a way to save the planet.

Episode 1 gave a good start into the young avengers like Kate Bishop, Kamala Khan & Riri Williams and was nice seeing them all together in the crisis of a zombie apocalypse. It was a shame seeing 2 of them go out like that but one gave a heroic sacrifice while the other died in a dumb way smh. But we got the introduction of a blade variant in the MCU which is Blade Knight and he was a pure badass. We also get the Romanoff Family back from the black widow movie which are Yelena, Alexis and Melina. What was cool was seeing Melina controlling the zombies with the winter soldier program still in effect and doubling their army but was not enough for the zombie apocalypse and the queen of zombies Wanda Maximoff!

Episode 2 was more heart breaking a lot to me as so many losses and sacrifices were made from unforgettable characters! We get to see the zombie events of San Francisco take place which was the start since characters from the ant man movie lived in that area as well as Shang chi and Katy where crazy moments tools place like Shang chi having a zombie arm and wen wu’s sacrifice to give him the rings and save his life. Then we discover Zemo taken over the Raft prison as a sanctuary of his own but that man can’t be trusted as he’s always hating on the heroes and it shows in this episode that led to destruction including the attack by Namor!!! Namor was a pure badass killing left and right, almost thought the team was done for until Kamala comes through with the killer clutch. All was good until the sad ending with Yelena in which I couldn’t get over 😥😥😥 My Shayla!! Still not over her sacrifice and if this show continues to kill off more and more, idk what I will do. Cant wait to see what the last 2 episodes have in store.

Episode 3 didn’t leave a big impact towards the end compared to the other 2 episodes but sure a lot happened starting with the continuation of where we left off with Spiderman, head of antman and one leg black panther! Seeing that battle against a zombie thanos with 5 stones was almost better than the infinity war battles that we all know and love. Each hero taking on zombie Thanos was crazy as he was evolving more with the stones and he actually got the mind stone and could do some serious destruction to the universe if not for Tchalla’s sacrifice to kill Thanos. Wish the battle was a bit longer throughout the episode as the 2nd half was just seeing what happened with the other heroes as they head to new Asgard and meeting up with Valkyrie and Depressed Thor who I thought got killed in Wakanda but wasn’t the case. Episode ended off with Wanda being there manipulating everything in New Asgard and infecting people into zombies where we lost Alexis as a zombie, Zemo died, Dealer died, jimmy woo died, just crazy. Honestly all hope of humanity is in Kamala khan as seen from the beginning and now we seeing that it’s all might be over as we learn the truth of the nova corps not wanting to help earth in times of crisis. Let’s see what happens in the final episode if things end well or will enter into a hopeful season 2.

Episode 4 which is the final episode of season 1 left us in a cosmic final battle with insane plot twists, more deaths and leaves us questioning for more. I won’t spoil much about what happens in this episode because it’s better to see with your own eyes but all I can say just like Khamala’s praise in episode 1 of her show, it was COSMIC!! But seriously the ending with her and the world that she’s in now is mind blowing and shows not everything needs to have a happy ending which gives fans hope that season 2 will happen.

To be honest Wish there was more episodes besides 4 and they were longer like the Netflix daredevil and defenders shows as there could be more story to tell especially with other characters besides Kamala like Spiderman, Blade Knight, even zombie Wanda moments as the villain. Maybe even Zombie Namor and other zombie marvel character moments. This was quite a good spinoff show the MCU has given us with a TV-MA rating with more gore moments with the killing and gave some call backs to some MCU moments. This show does give me a little bit of hope that doomsday will be great with the crossover of these new characters mixed with older characters we’ve all known and love going up against a powerful threat aka DR.DOOM! But until then I’ll take this show as it was good but could have been better and longer. Good start to a Halloween season for sure and hope we get more MARVEL ZOMBIES. 🧟🧟‍♂️🧟‍♀️
